Wallrat Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 What happened was tragic and all but this kind of stuff happens everyday. The Peterson case only became an item because it was a slow period for the news. Still, what a schmuk...glad they found him guilty. Now hopefully we won't have to hear about it anymore. Quote

Fireman-hott Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 As much as I want to think he is guilty, there is so much of a reasonable doubt that he should have been given a mistrial. Jury couldn't see the boat video where they tried dumping a 150lb woman out an dit capsized everytime. Or the fact that they didn't even know teh cause of death, nor have a set motive. The one thing that leads me to believe he was probably innocent is the jury was hung, and in 2 days 2 different jurors were removed and replaced and the next day he's guilty. Comeon now, I'm no conspiracy theorists but you can't deny thats odd. Quote
bansheefreak Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 the defense had the video that said it would capsize well lets see you think they are not gonna stage it that way???? you really think they are gonna show that you can throw out a 150 person????no that would end it for them so ofcourse there video is gonna seem likeyou can't throw someone out... ever think that the extra weight that was left in the boat was for the opposite side????? plus ppl have said you can do it you just can't be a dork like the guy in the video.....even without media's judgement i say he has to be giulty from the fact his went fishing here the body showed up her.. he sold the house and the car way too soon for someone who lost someone... and he was caught by the border with a diff appearence and 15,000 cash... guilty ..fire up the chair lets have a barbeque Quote

rebelbanshee2 Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 if i was on the jury i couldnt vote him guilty, beyond the shadow of a doubt. Not saying he didnt do it, but im not sure the evidence was conclusive enough..but then i havnt payed attention it for awhile. Almost seems like a reverse OJ to me..everyone thought he was guilty from the start and it had so much media coverage i think it was a bit of a fubar from the start Quote
