stclark04 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 (edited) 190????????? Ur gonna burn something up! Isnt stock like 200 or 220? I would think you should be up in the 280 and up range? Maybe Im wrong? Maybe even a 27.5 pilot? Edited November 3, 2004 by stclark04 Quote
JKJK Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 hopefully you ment to type 290's on the mains.i'm not familiar with that filter set up.i'd start with around 320 mains+do a plug chop.then play with the needle settings, the rest looks good for a base line. Quote
banshee76179 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 oops gotcha.....290 Dammit, U r gonna scare someone....probably ur checkbook.. My buddy has bsacially same set-up ecept for box no lid and clip in the 3rd postion and runs same mains and air screw for now , until colder weather moves in... Quote
2stroker Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 With the mods that you have at sea level, I'll say you're a little lean. Go up to at least a 320 and do a plug chop. Is your needle at the 2nd position from the blunt end? If so, mMove your clip to the 3rd or 4th position from the blunt end. The mods on my bike are kinda like your except I've got T3's, Boyesen reeds, and timimg at +4. I'm running 310 mains with stock pilots. Needle at 3rd clip. Doing a plug chop riding at 1600 ft yields a nice paper bag brown color. Quote
sredish Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 All banshees run differently. While I'm not saying I know he's running good with 290's, I will say that if you take two banshees, side by side, with identical mods, virtually identical machines, one may be at 320 and the other could very well be at 290. So, just because he has 290 mains doesn't mean he's lean because another banshee out there is running 310s. I see that all the time. As always, a plug check is the unquestionable answer. Quote
