XfiveGEE
I have a pair of FMF Power Core 2's .. wondering if theirs anyway to make them louder. Would taking out some of the packin inside work? .. Has that been done? ... Any suggestions would help.

QuadMX
No packing is loud. That's how mine are. I don't like it. I'd rather have them with packing in them, loud isn't always the best, and theres more power if they're packed correctly. I'm not sure how to pack them actually so I just never got around to it. I hear FMF's with toomey silencers sounds awsome
sredish
Cut about 4 to 6 inches off of the silencer then put it back together. It will be louder for sure, but still sound good. That's like the "shorty" silencer fmf markets for bikes, but they don't make them for quads.
2004LEBanshee
Does that change preformance or jetting?
Bansheeman1121
Look at my custom packing idea post, tho some may think its stupid it sounds really nice and slightly louder than toomeys, and not to mention a quicker mid range hit, i did it with my pro ciruit 304 silencers but the fmf is the some setup inside, give it a try performs great and sounds unreal

Banshee~
Does that change preformance or jetting? It would give you more bottem end....i dont think it would change the jetting
sredish
It really shouldn't change performance or jetting at all, the power is defined by the expansion chamber (belly of the beast) and the silencer really just muffles the sound a little, and by shortening, will open the sound up. Then why does running with no packing hurt prefromance? Running a shorter silencer would be like having less packing. Does this make sense to anyone else? I'm not postive, but I think by running no packing, your createing a second expansion chamber which would affect performance.
super88_banshee
i've had a question that i've been meaning to ask for quite a while. Will fmf powercore 2 silencers work on toomey t-5 pipes?? i figured they might since toomey silencers work with fmf pipes, but i wasn't sure. thx
