ledofthezep Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Shitty deal. But it sounds like it could have/should have been prevented. Stupid is as Stupid does. Quote
kenr74 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Sounds like the ATV world could do without both of them. Stupid people are the reason we lose land and rights each year. Quote

rasta Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 i would be pissed if someone hit me in the face with a flag, that shit would hurt! but was he wearing a helmet? i dont understand how he could be bleeding if he was. i dont know if he should have run the kid over, but it sounds like he was a punk and deserved it to me... Blacksmith Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 First of all let me say that it sounds to me as if both of these guys were looking for a fight, and each thought they were kind s**t of the sand. Seen it happen a bunch of times and it is never good. That being said, how many times have one of you been setting there watching the drags at LS and after about 10 runs, each of which you have been a safe distace away, you end up with some guy on a drag bike going by at 80, 3 feet from your front bumper. Or you are setting there watching and the next thing you know, another strip has started behind you, a few feet from where your kids are playing. Now I know that we are all looking for the best sand when we are lined up to run, but some riders push it a lot farther than is safe. I don't know what the answer is, I just wish that more of the drag riders would think about the safety of those that like to watch them run. Guys set me straight if I am wrong, but shouldn't we all look out for one another if we can? Is putting an extra bike length on that honda worth someone getting hurt? I mean your already beating him by 15 Quote

I mean your already beating him by 15 Youre right on. At Sand Mountain Ut during Easter, there are assholes blasting through camp literally feet from peoples tents. What they aren't thinking about is the poor bastard climbing out of his tent to go take a piss or get something to eat after hammering on his old lady for the last 30 minutes. Hell I've seen some seriously close calls by people racing through the camps and people walking with their kids to the shitters. Common sense seems to be a misnomer as most major holidays out there it isn't all that common. Quote
03portedshee Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 First of all i am best friends with the guy that hit the kid this weekend. I was there when it happened and if you dont no what happened and just guessing then shut the f$ck up. The kid was being an a$$hole and there was several people that were having to dodge his stupid flag. The drag strip was getting wider because there was more people racing at once so back up and make the strip wider. The kid never hit him in the face with the flag he had flipped his shee over on him earlier that day. Also it happened on Saturday not Sunday hell you cant even get the damn day right. Quote
2banshees Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 if he was any kind of man he would have gotten off of his bike and settled it like real men. theres no reason to run someone down. Quote
XTShee Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 It was wrong for the guy to hit him, but what sort of moron stands in the middle of a drag strip I am with led Stupid is as Stupid does. Quote
TurbochargedOne Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Some people were no doubt absent the day common sense was given out. Quote

Granted, the kid shouldn't have been playing or messing around near the drag strip, but if someone hit one of my friends on purpose because they were messing around too close to the track, they had better have a fucking really fast bike and have his helmet on tight. To me, that is an intent to cause severe bodily harm or even intent to kill. I'd beat the fucker senseless when I caught him. Quote
03portedshee Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 It wasnt a kid playing around the race track it was a 19 year old that knew what the hell he was doing and he wasnt just doing it during the race when we turned around and came back to the starting line he would come to the back of his truck and yell shit also. 03portedshee Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Also he didnt step out until right after the flag man started the race then he stepped out like he wanted to play chicken. If a 4 wheeler was coming at you at a high rate of speed when it got so close any person in there right mind would move wouldnt you. My buddy had no where to go he had four wheelers beside him in the race and a lot of spectators on the side so all he could do is go straight or he would have hurt alot more people standing there that werent acting so tough. I was there and saw it happen. Your friend is a idiot.. same as the asshole at the end of the strip. Regardless, your friend should have hit the brakes took his lid off and beat the dude with his fist not be a complete asshole and run him over. And he had nowhere to go?? last i knew quads have brakes Quote
bansheefreak Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 sounds like the guy was afraid the kid would beat his ass so he had to use his banshee to run him over....i can tell by the attitude from his buddy that they are not to bright...not saying the kid is bright either but if you have a problem stand there like a man don't use a machine...
