NugShee Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Ok guys, I did a search on this subject but didnt find much. I am thinking of getting a new set of handlebars and ditching the stock ones but dont know which style works best. I have seen the banshee drag bars but dont know if they would be practical in all around riding. I only ride dunes but dont do much dragging. What would you all recommend? Thanks in advance Quote
ranshee Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Pro tapers all the way bro. Best fellin bar I've put on my bike. They are a bit pricey though because you have to throw on a 1 1/8 bar adapter Quote
roosthrower Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 If you want to go cheap with a good clean look, you could go tusk. I think they were $30 shipped from rmatv and they look pretty nice. I'll see if I can post a pic of them tomorrow. Mine are cr high bends though cause they didn't have the atv bend in stock. Quote

The crossbar is freaking wide! There isn't enough room to mount everything. I had to cut my right grip to make room and the brake reservoir is still cocked at a freaky angle. How did you get everything mounted? They do look good though. Quote
roosthrower Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 no problems mounting everything on the bars here. Quote
roosthrower Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 here is how the tusk bars look installed Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 With my Tag-2's my ressy and clutch perch are set out a bit more than stock, but since I use my billet grips, I lock them down, and they hang over the bars by about 1/2 inch or so. Just the way it worked out. I do love my Tag-2 lo bend, but the chrome is flaking off, and from what SRedish said, they quit chroming the bars and replaced it with a silver finish. Quote
NugShee Posted October 16, 2004 Author Report Posted October 16, 2004 Thanks for the reply's guys. Those are some good looking bars roosthrower. I think the main reason of getting new bars is to add some bling but I dont want to sacrifice confort or handling when doing it. I dont like the looks of those bars that stick up further than normal and that is why I was interested in the drag bars but those tusk bars look sweet. No sence in adding bling if its just going to start flaking off though. Which size bar will work with the stock steering stem? I dont even know where to begin when looking for bars as theres so many diferent brands and styles. If anyone has any more advice or just want to brag a little about their own bars please do. I need help guys. Thanks again, Mike Quote
