williamjernigan Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I had a blaster in which I put a +4 chorme lonestar axle on but I had to use a hydraulic press to get the old one out of the axle carrier. Will I have to do the same for the shee. I plan to send my swingarm off to be cut. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I didn't need one last time I took it out, I wouldn't imagine you needing one either Quote
racer Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 damn if you had to press your shit out then might have been needin some new bearings. i dont imagine youll need a new axle. why dont you just pull the whole carrier at once and leave then axle intact in the carrier? Quote
knight_ripper Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 You definitely do not need a press.... but it does require a little punch. after you get her all apart and loose......use a piece of wood....hold it on one end of the axle and smack it a few times with a B.F.H. (Big Fucking Hammer). it will come apart nicely. And anytime you take the axle out you should replace the bearings and seals. they are cheap. you can find um on ebay as a set. Quote
limitied03 Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 man i had no problem changing mine....it slid right on out with no problems....but then again it was only 2 weeks old.. Quote
NickyPap Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 I just replaced mine, the only problem I had was gettin' the 2nd axle nut loose...some advice and alittle heat worked. Quote
