cam2 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 i'm getting ready to put my engine back together so i'm cleaning and inventorying things and i noticed that there is only one bearing clip (C shape) that goes into a groove on the crank and a groove in the cases on the right side of the engine (clutch side). it seems like there should be two because there is a groove on the top case and lower case. the clymer's manual shows only one in the diagram on page 132 but i wanted to check with others to make sure that i wasn't over looking anything. thanks. locogato11283 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 when i did mine i only had 1. so i think only one i sposed to go there Quote
brock_fuzzy_69 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 yeah only 1 clip is provided for each bearing surface the groove goes all the way around because of how it has to be machined in there but as long as each bearing has 1 of those clips its all good keeps the bearings from walking abck and forth in there Quote
