Well boys I had a bit of bad luck over the weekend. I failed to check the oil level on my Banshee before riding and sure enough its seized. When I was towing it back to camp you can hear the thing squeal so loud. I can push the kick start all the way down with my hand so theres definitely no compression. I know its a whole rebuild of bottom and top end but I dont know the extent yet. I work at a dealership so at least I can get the parts at a fair price. My question for you is should I order stock or aftermarket parts? If aftermarket what brands? And since we'll have it all apart should I mod anything? Thanks guys.

I honestly dont know. Im not very mechanically inclined but thats whats wrong with it and the only thing I can point to is a lack of oil unless my idiot friend rode it like crap.

i guess he could have poked a whole in the case. placed correctly that would let dirt in, oil out and trash a crank. look around to see if that may be the issue.

And this guy works at a dealer...........:lol::lol:

Dont be a jerk. I come here for advice not to be ridiculed. I stated already I am no mechanic so why the cheap shot?

did you possibly loose the air filter and suck in a bunch of dirt?that would wipe out a top end and the crank seals and hence loose all your oil if ridden like that long enough

A buddy of mine is going to help me out later this week with it. Once he opens it up I'll have a better idea of what went wrong.
