Works will be fine in the dunes. They're not bad shocks and unless your overly abusive, they'll work really good there and save you some dough. TCS are nice shocks, so it's your call.

It all depends on what you're doing in the dunes, whether is be dragging, jumping, or just fooling around. Given an unlimited budget, don't screw around and get the good shit. :headbang:

Axis or Elka, I have Axis on one shee and works on the other. Axis are day/nite difference compared to the works.

Of course, they are much higher "grade" of shock compared to Works, but for a lot more dough!

I have Works Triple rates w/ rezzies on my 400ex, they are so much better than stock. It's nice to be able to ride across rough sand and have the front shocks soak up the rough terrain. Do you have or are you planning on getting aftermarket a-arms?

If money is a concern I would go with Works, if not, hell, get Axis!

I was telling my dad he should go with TCS front shocks dual rate w/o rez, its still alot better than stock shock, then he can go tcs rebuild. Im probably going the same on my yfz.

What do you think I should upgrade to, works or spend the extra dough on tcs ?  I could get triple rate works w/ rez for $515 shipped and tcs triple rate w/rezfor $675.

Has anyone tried marvinshawshocks.com. They have nice looking shocks with coils now and weigh a lot less. I called them today and he said that he dunes them very aggressive and they work great.

Thats the same shock I put on my shee, except for the dual rate, and the are by far the best mod I have put on my bike. They soak up every little bump and rut as if they were not even there.

Highly recomend.
