Well, I am re-porting my 350 right now for drag only on alky. For you guys (or gals) who have actually ran an RZ350 tranny, do you recommend running the RZ tranny for asphalt, or would a banshee tranny w/2-4 override be better? I have both sitting in the garage, and will probably try w/stock tranny as is first, but then put one of the others in. If the RZ is prefered, maybe I'd make that into and override also, but don't know if a 1-4 is better than a 2-4 if I start always in first gear? Thanks for your experienced info!!!!!

The RZ tranny is geared a little better for asphalt, but second and third gear start to get stress cracks, sometimes after only about 40 passes. The banshee tranny will definately hold up better. If you start in first all the time go with the 1-4 over ride.

If I try and convert my 2-4 override into a 1-5, will I not have a sixth gear, or is that just how some people just make them? Otherwise I will try to make my 2-4 into a 1-4. Thanks!

I don't have sixth gear in my 1-5.It was cut by Rudy. Some people do have all the gears,I don't know if Rudy can do it that way or not.Maybe give him a call (760)244-8834.He will give you more info on the Rz tranny too.

whatever u do dont run a 1-6 override they are popular among alot of drag racers that run pavement but they do not hold up really well at all. if your going to run 1/4 still i would go with a 1-4 override and youll just have to manual shift into 5th and 6th gear dan hull runs the same set up on his turbo bike when he runs it on ashphalt and the only complaint he has with it was he said it was a lil hard to move ya hands to shit into 6th but u should be ok
