philshee Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I know this has been talked about before, but I can't find any info on it. What are the types (brands ) of larger slide type after market carbs that will fit the stock Banshee boots. Quote
FasterTHENyou Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 A good carb is the 33pwk. Quote

mercado111 Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I have a set of 28mm pwk for sale. 175 shipped. Quote
J-Madd Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 PWK 30mm is the largest that will fit stock boots. I struggled with mine for about an hour. Don't ever take the boots back off once you get them on! Quote
Cowboy Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 That isn't necessarily true, I stuffed a set of 35's in, dont ask how, but with a lil lube and some trimming, they do fit. Quote
hamuel Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 just because. THey don't make 30mm keihin carbs. THey make 28's bored to 30's but there the same size outer diamiter then a 28. Quote
2Smoker Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 what do you gain by getting bigger/different carbs? Are they easier to work on? Quote
Cowboy Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 A change in carb size is no different on anything else with one, You increase your air flow and it allows your motor to breath deeper......mine screams, kicks the crap outta my buddies, and he has a cool head and bored cylinders and FMF's....I have completely stock motor with bigger carbs and a set of T5's...now if i only cleaned up my other(ported) jugs and slapped my .100 outs on..hehe Quote
BANSH-alena-jol-EE Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 what size carbs do u have? Quote
Thewhite Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) the pwk 30 have a better flow, the height of the outlet is 30 but the width is still 28. It make an average diameter of 29 mm. The main advantage is you keep a good response of the throttle and you maximize the flow at full throttle. Edited February 18, 2009 by Thewhite Quote
