xtremebanshee Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 First off I have a set of t-5's on my banshee with a adj. timing plate, ada racing cool head 17cc domes, trinity 2 into 1 carb, delta force 2 reed cages, and vito's power pistons. I ride mainly CC and woods riding, it occasionally goes to the dunes (probably once a year to little sahaha on easter weekend) does anyone know if the paul turner mids have more hit than the t-5's. also i will use spark arrestors from time to time. thanks, brian Quote
sredish Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 ok, both great, but both totally different pipes. do a search on both and you'll have tons of reading. search button, top right corner Quote
Banchetta Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Harder hit??? No, the pt mids don't hit hard at all, they just pull smooth and hard as hell. I can't explain it, but you'd be happier w/ mids for the cc. Quote
dave95.1 Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 i agree with banchetta for the woods and cc the ptr mids would work better and on the dunes you damn sure don't lose anything. Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 I have a set of pt mids, and a set of T5's, neither of which I have run, but next month starts our "season" and I will let you know what I think of each pipe. in comparison. we ride some in Mexico, San-Felipe desert riding, (I will use the mids) and Glamis I plan to use the toomeys. fixitrod Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 Banchetta even does great at drag racing people. Those pt mids are awesome. Quote

Cowboy Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 I dont run into a lot of banshee's where i ride.....i am kinda alone out here in wyoming, but when I do, I seldom find one that will hang with my t-5's.....they totally turned my 'shee into a monster. Quote
tats4life Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 like banchetta said.....pt mids don't hit, they come on the power real smooth, espically with pyramid reeds, the tend to "hit" more with df2's. I've ridden a lot of bikes with t-5's and t-6's and everbody likes my mids better than any other pipe. I'd run mids espically if your gonna do any type of xc riding...imoa. Quote

PTR MIDS all day long for your riding, if you go with the T's order a nice clutch too cause you'll be fanning the shit out of it.............. Quote
Ducman Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 Imma throw in a vote on the PTR Mids just cause the corkscrew shape pipes just look friggin sweet. And the trail riddding thing too. Quote
Stuff Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 I just put a set of PTR mids on my shee this last winter and have been very pleased with them. I ride trails and they perform very well for that type of riding. I haven't been on any other Banshees with other pipes, other than stock. Compared to stock pipes, the PTRs come on sooner and smoother and pull so much harder As Ducman mentioned too, they have a different shape from most other aftermarket pipes which in my biased opinion look sweet.
