badcompany Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Just what it says. Just got done with a rebuild and need to know how much torque do you put on the coolhead. Quote
. Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Follow the numbers in order on the stock head or refer to the clymers. Torque them to 10, 15 and then a final 20 Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 i just tighten them down to the point where it feels real snug without feeling like im gonna twist something. torque wrenches are for wussies on my cr500 banshee i bought a coolhead for it and torques it to manufacturers specs but it leaked. come to find out my cr500 engine has so much compression is was sucking coolant past the o rings.
