Start with a good sharpie and either a jig saw or dremel...draw your pattern for what you want to cut and then start cutting. If you use the jig saw, well, use a jig saw blade. If you use the dremel, use a good cut-off wheel...it'll take time and patience but is incredibly easy to do

And remember that you can always come back and cut off more but its pretty tuff to put some back. And plan to do the final 1/16 inch +/- with a course file to get cut near perfect. :shootself:
