johnautobus Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 After riding the other day a friend went to clean up his shee and removed clamp -on filters and put in plugs to prevent water getting in carbs. After washing shee off he forget to remove carb plugs and kicked it over trying to start it. After it did not start he remembered what he had done. He then put in new spark plugs and it started. The next time he went to the dunes to ride, the motor won't run right. Runs really bad. Changed plugs again. Still runs bad. Could he have done some damage when he kicked it over with the plugs in the carbs? I did not think that would hurt anything. Any thoughts on this would be helpful. Crank seal, reeds? Quote
johnautobus Posted August 12, 2004 Author Report Posted August 12, 2004 It acts like rich and won't rev up. Plugs dark and wet.It was not this way before Quote
boonman Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 Is the TORS still on the bike? He could have done some damage to the reeds..... I doubt it though.... Quote
zilladude Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 How many times did he kick it over? It's probably just flooded if he kicked it over alot. Quote
bcjones6 Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I think I am having the exact same problem with my shee. Mine will rev up when it has no load on it. If you figure out what is wrong with your could you please post it and let me know..... It would be very helpful. Quote
