  1. If I try to go WOT it will kill the engine. It is not blowing oil anywhere. Any idea's as to the corrosion on the stator plate. What normally happens when the pickup coil or ignition side of the stator goes bad......... Thanks
  2. My banshee has no top end power, it dropped off on a ride. It is a new complete rebuild. I have checked top end compression and it is fine. I have checked and cleaned the carbs, and I beleive they are fine. It seems to run fine at idle, but as soon as you rev it up a little it bogs. When I take the plugs out they are soaked and black. My TORS has been removed and all emergency brake stuff has been removed. I mentioned the corroded stator plate because it wasn't like this when I reassembled the engine. Also my magneto appears to be rusting a little, it wasn't like that either. Could my crank seal be leaking and causing this, is there an easy way to to determine if that seal is leaking without doing a leakdown test? I put all new seals in the engine when I rebuilt it. It has a new top and bottom end. Also I checked the reeds and they appear to be fine. The plugs are getting fire, but I'm not sure how much.......Any ideas??????????????????????????????
  3. I rebuilt this motor myself and when I rebuilt it I used that paint on copper gasket to put the case together instead of yamabond, do you think that the case could be leaking somewhere and causing my problems????? I don't see any signs of it leaking, would a compression check of the top end show a leak in the case? My stator and flywheel appear to be corroded, what effect would it have if my stator side crank seal was leaking? Could my stator be bad??? Pickup coil be bad??? It seems to be firing ok, how much spark should it produce??? I have a device that will measure the spark... Any help is greatly appreciated....
  4. This problem started on a ride, one of my friends was riding it when it happened. Sorry about the dome size mine are actually 19cc. Although I do mix 93oct 4:1 with 114oct to compensate for high compression. Before the problem the plugs were perfect, so I believe the jetting is on par. I have taken the carbs apart and cleaned them already.
  5. I think I am having the exact same problem with my shee. Mine will rev up when it has no load on it. If you figure out what is wrong with your could you please post it and let me know..... It would be very helpful.
  6. My banshee had been running perfect for about 2 months and all of a sudden it died. When it is sitting still with no load it will rev up, but as soon as you put it in gear and start moving it wont take any gas. It seems to run better if I barely give it any gas. I've changed the plug like six times, every time I take the plugs out they are black and soaked. They appear to be getting plenty of fire. I checked the reeds and they are fine. TORS has been removed and so has the emergency brake. Could someone please help..........
