spoolnvr4 Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 (edited) I have just put a bike motor in this rolling banshee frame that i have(pics to come real soon). Well i have it all lined up... and the Banshee stock chain doesnt seat all the way on the front sprocket(bike motor) is there a chain i can run that will be better, instead of a stock 520 chain? or will a certain Dirtbiek sprocket maybe work..? Thanks alot bobby (edit: ZX-7r engine) Edited July 31, 2004 by spoolnvr4 Quote

Oilsmoke Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 Spoolnvr4 how well did the Kawasaki fit in that banshee frame, any cutting needed to get it to fit? Quote
sredish Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 (edited) yea it says something like that. sredish doesnt have very good vision. what was that saying? if you masterbate youll go blind?? dammit, wish i'da known that sooner, now it's too late... Edited July 31, 2004 by sredish Quote
spoolnvr4 Posted August 1, 2004 Author Report Posted August 1, 2004 ha... lol well at first glance you would think it will fit... but i stretched the frame 4"... At the top of the frame on what the gas tank sits on had to be redesigned to go over the engine, becuase there are two mounts at the top of the cylinder head... i am making the bottom part of the frame removable, so i can remove the engine if i have to work on it. moving the front end further forward 4" may have been alittle more than i needed to do... but i figured with the added weight it will help center it out... plus leave e soem room for some nasty exhaust... Ill post up some pics of the progress so you guys can tell me what you think. Quote
Oilsmoke Posted August 1, 2004 Report Posted August 1, 2004 (edited) What Motor did you look at before you decided on the Kawasaki motor? I am thinking about a mid sized Bulletbike motor in a Banshee frame , R6 looked shorter than the Kawasaki in height but i never measured any yet. If you tweak them they are about 120 Hp with simple mods But this is just very rough est. what is est Hp of the kawasaki? Edited August 1, 2004 by Oilsmoke Quote

spoolnvr4 Posted August 4, 2004 Author Report Posted August 4, 2004 i baically cut off the front of the frame and moved it 4" forward... than i built the upper frame(where the gas tank use to sit at) up and over the motor... and the bottom half is basically done, but will be removable for easy access to the engine... ill post pics up as soon as i can find my digi cam... now how bout those sprockets...?
