87sheerips Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Hey there, just wondering if carb cleaner would be safe on my raidiator hoses, along with some steel wool to get em clean. I just finished cleaning my jugs with it, so im wondering if i can just continue onto the hoses, any advise would be great, thanks a lot Quote
Otis Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 i dont see why not. it's not going to eat away at anything, if that's what your worried about. go get some simple green, or other industrial strength degreaser, for all the caked on crud, and save the carb cleaner for when you really need it. MotulMonsta Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 No, I wouldn't...Carb cleaner has MEK in it, MEK will turn rubber into goo. Quote
Wassup350 Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Plus it can be expensive sometimes, especially if you need it a lot. I'd use some castrol superclean. That stuff works awesome, i think its even better then simple green. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 I'd use some castrol supercleanJust don't get it on anything that is polished.... Quote
