blackred03 Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 im running t6 pipes no snorkel uni filter rad valves and the toomey jet kit, i was told by the yamaha shop that i needed to go larger on the mains, its got the 280 in but im running lean, and also 30 on the others give some advice please Quote

sredish Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 (edited) i thought i needed bigger than the stocker in regards to your needle, it doesn't work the same way as your jets, it's more taper, diameter and length, not "bigger". I could go into great detail about how the needle affects things, but it's much to complicated to go into right now, too early. Basically, from my little experience, the Toomey needle (which is just a Blaster needle) just doesn't seem to work well in the banshee. I've seen a lot of people come through here having a tough time getting there jetting worked out and they're using the Toomey needle, and quite a few come back to update that they removed the Toomey needle and ran the stocker and it's been great since.
