But I do not know how smaller I can go and still run Pump Gas Quote
sand rocket Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 what is your elevation. I think that the majority of people will say anything over somthing like 155 needs race fuel. Also with all those mods, i sure hope that you just forgot to list the welded crank!! Quote
Mod Banshee Posted July 12, 2004 Author Report Posted July 12, 2004 I do not Know what elevation we are at. But I live in NY. And No my Crank is not welded. But Next summer I think I will put in a wiseco Hot rod Crank from Nacs for $379.95 Quote
Mod Banshee Posted July 12, 2004 Author Report Posted July 12, 2004 We just put a new Top end in it. And that was when I did a Compression reading and got 105PSI Quote
No Limit Powersports Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Your only showing a low static compression ratio because of your port job but you could go down to a 20cc or 19cc dome safely depending on timing and compression try a 19 and check compression. I would keep the compression at max 150 at 4 degrees advance. What is your timing set at? Quote
Mod Banshee Posted July 12, 2004 Author Report Posted July 12, 2004 I am going to try the 19cc domes Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Looks like time for a rebuild... Quote
mplecha Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 I've got a similar question for you guys. How small a dome can I use and still use pump gas? I'm about to put an aluminum head on my 03 and I want to bump the compression up a bit. What would you guys suggest? Quote
dlnoss Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Close to sea level with stock timing 21cc domes would be good. Quote
Mod Banshee Posted July 14, 2004 Author Report Posted July 14, 2004 Well I had my Dad help me do a Compression check today and it is 125psi Now. I had a hard time doing it my self so that is why I think I got 105 Befor. And I have 21 CC doms. Quote
