JKJK Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 mine was the same way.spray penatrating oil on it+let it soak+reapply, mine took 3 days of douching to come loose.you must use the correct puller+a impact gun is also a plus.good luck be patient+she should come free. Quote
locogato11283 Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 what kind of pullers did you use? if you tried to use a jaw like puller it wont work. you need to use a flywheel puller. dealerships usually have them for about 12 bucks. this is the ONLY way you should try and get it off. Quote
boonman Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 you mentioning that you used two different kinds of pullers, I hope you didn't use a jaw type puller. If you did, and put ANY stress on the flywheel at all, you might as well throw it in the trash once you get it off. It is junk...... Quote
BenBB Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 I agree with everyone else, use the inside-type flywheel puller, and like JKJK said soak it with penetrating oil. It helps if you can flip it up on the right side (if the motor is in the frame use a 2x4 against the frame so the flywheel points straight up) so the oil will gravity-feed between the flywheel and crank. Took me 3-4 days to get my RZ flywheel off too. Quote
nowusheeitnowudont Posted July 8, 2004 Author Report Posted July 8, 2004 i did only use the inside flywheel puller type they were the same except one was newer than the other. i'll try to use some penetrating oil on it. thanks. ill let you know how it turns out. Quote
