Hey guys, I dont have a computer at my house any more so I cant get on that much. Anyways I would like to ask a few questions on here.

 

I had a stock banshee, I put a boost bottle, 13 tooth front sproket, K and n filter with moded air box and moded my stock pipes. All I can say is this thing really rips now. OK here is my big concern. I Took the three screwqs out of the back of my silincer and removed that part. Then you have the cap with the internal guts. I had a buddy cut the whole guts out. He went fluch with the end cap and the curved pipe piece fell off. So he welded the curved piece onto the cap. The other one he cut just above the ring so it is a hair away from being cut flush with the other one. My question is will I blow my motor or need rejetting, do to this mod? How can I tell if I need rejetting? Next should I an ignition system or reeds? Who makes the best reeds? I was thinking dynajet jet kit when I get my pipes around christmas, and delta V force II reeds? I ride in the coal region, and in the woods of Pennsylvania. Some of the hills we go up are pretty extreme as in extreme steepness. Thanks for the help guys. :cheers:

I also wanted to have your opinions on either going into further banshee mods or getting a cr 250r? I am 18 and my buddies tell me and everyone just about, that I will fall and get hurt on a bike. By the way the 2004 cr 250 makes 51 horse stock. I then looked into getting a crotch rocket but the insurance would kill me and I dident like the way you sit on them. Now I am decideing between modding my banshee more, Getting a base line harley sportster 883 or 1200, or getting a cr 250r. The only thing holding me back from further mods is the fact that If I role it down a hill I will lose a ton of money.

I also switched my coolant to that engin ice cycle logic stuff. Do I need to bleed my system? I have been useing yamalube 2R at a 32:1 ratio with 93 grade pump gas. I am switching to silkolean 100% synsetic. Can I run 40:1 or even 50:1 with the silkolean while keeping my engin for a long service life, or should I use it at 32:1? I am also going to use silkolean 75 something gear oil. The last thing is that if I use bellray chaine lube It getts really dirty. Can I just use WD 40. Thanks for the help and sorry for all the questions.

You kinda sound like me. you cant figure out what you want to get. Just think about what you spend most your time on though. I have thought about selling my other toys and getting a crotch rocket myself, but i dont think i would do nearly as much riding on that. So im sticking to quads. I would just mod the hell out of the banshee but thats just me, do what ever is gonna make you more happy.

You need to check if your running lean, usually opening up the breathing with a K&N, even with stock exhaust(especially one that has been opened up) you will need to change your jetting. It's the jetting that will kill your motor. Look at the jetting part of the forum, you will find reference on how to read your plugs and how to jet. It's part of owning a two stroke, learn how to do it or be prepared to rebuild. :shootself:
