lian Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 are they worth the money or will they cause more problems Quote
nebraskabanshee Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Just imagine landing and having ur wrist crack that throttle and you laying on you back, about what i did on my friends shee, I will never invest in a twist. I guess lots of people like them but ride with one first to see. There cant be really any problems unless its not hooked up right Quote
Banshee169 Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I started out on dirtbikes until I went to the dunes in Florence and Winchester Bay and got hooked then bought a shee. The conversion for me was way easy and I'd never go back to thumb. I feel I have more throttle control with a twist. If you are not used to them however it can get you in a sticky situation where you might end up on your back as your shee speeds away. Woops are hard with a twist if you arent accustomed to it because the motion of your bike can force you to nail the throttle which can potentially cause a wipe out. Either way, I love mine and have never had a problem with it. Quote
stealthawd Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 i'm kewl with mine, but they definitely require some experience Quote
Oilsmoke Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I can say this, My thumb never cramped on me since I switched. But look out for them hard left turns. I am old dirt biker Thumbs are for Snowmobiles . Quote
jadaven Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I had one just to see what it was like...well its in a tool box now and im back to my thumb throttle. After almost wiping out a couple times i called it quits. But if your use to motorcycles it might be your thing. Quote
grounded Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 How do people that ride 2 wheelers in sx or mx survive if every time they land the throttle cracks open? It does'nt. I 've ridden mx for 15 years and have ridden with both types, and like anything you just have to get used to it. Quote
SICK BOY Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 People love them or hate them.I have a Motion Pro 1/4 turn twist and I love it. Quote
