We were gonna be meeting up with some other guys up there but looks like they ain't goin now. I've never been up there before so I hope it'll be as fun as I'm expecting. Anybody care to join along? I sure would like to meet up with some fellow banshee-ers while there. Probably gonna rent a campsite and sleep in a tent if anybody would care to share a campsite or somethin. Quote

420 RACING Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 YEA WE WILL POSSIBLY BE THERE WEATHER PENDING!! DID ANYONE HEAR WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEKEND? SO AROUND 2:00 AM SATURDAY WE WERE GETTIN READY TO CALL IT A NIGHT WHEN.........KABOOM A COUPLE SITES DOWN FROM US SOMEONE EITHER WAS LIGHTING FIREWORKS OR TRYIN TO SPRUCE UP THEIR CAMPFIRE. WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS EITHER THE FIREWORK CAUGHT THE 5 GALLON CAN OF GAS OR THAT IS WHAT HE USED. BUT THE GUY WAS UP IN A BLAZE OF FIRE. SO A FEW MINUTES AFTER FIRE AND RESCUE ARRIVED, THEY LANDED A HEILCOPTER ON THE ROAD AND AIR LIFTED HIM OUT. IN THE MORNING WE INSPECTED IT OUT AND SAW THE WHOLE BOTTOM OF THE GAS CAN BLOWN OUT. NO ONE KNEW WHAT KIND OF SHAPE HE WAS IN, BUT KNEW HE WAS STILL ALIVE. SORRY ABOUT THE LONG POST ANTHONY Quote

I'm in need of a local that rides.. GR ****EDIT**** I might just go up north and stay in TC, and come down during the day to ride.. any ideas of how far a drive from Traverse?
