Ball-peen hammer (dead blow if you have it) works great. Loosen the balljoint nuts, smack the side of the spindle where the balljoint in secured - should "pop" right out.

hey i was wondering if the dissasemnly of the steering knuckle would be any different if i had roll design +2 +1 a-arms, because i think they are because on the top of the ball joint, pointing up their are like fou slots in the control arm, making it look like you need a tool to remove it. okay thanks guys.

If the steering knuckle is stock, it should be the typical ball joint or heim joint. Anyway, Banshees, cars, trucks.. the balljoints all get stuck in the knuckle pretty well after riding on them a while. Find a good solid spot near where the balljoint hooks into the knuckle, and whack it a few times with a hammer. It took a heckuva lot of hits on my S10 @ 110,000 miles to break the OE balljoints free from the knuckle, with a 5lb hammer, but they popped right out eventually. Even if you pry away with a picklefork, they won't pop out if they're just stuck in there. A BFH is just the tool!

hey i don't have the stock control arms. they are roll design and their is like a 4 slotted bolt that looks like you need some kind of special tool to remove it. it's about an in from side to side (the bolt and i can see from underneath the arm that it's threaded. now, what are your suggestions
