87sheerips Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 Im rebuilding my 87 banshee. Iam keeping the frame red, and the plastic is red and yellow, similar to a stock 97'. I am having a hard time deciding on what to paint my a and j arms, along with my swingarm, and axle carrier, along with sprocket hub. any siggestions would be great. Quote
Hockey390 Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 a-arms, same as frame... J-arms, same as main plastics...swing arm, same as main plastics...sprockets/hubs, same as gas tank plastics...axle carriar black. Of course...if funds allow, chrome EVERYTHING.. That is a basic layout that seems to look best no matter what colors you use. Quote
Banshee169 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 (edited) I just repainted my 87. Frame corvette red, swingarm and j-arms gloss black. Plastics are black and looks good versus the red frame. Looks great and have had many complements. I agree though, if you got the $$ go chrome. I went with the red for my hubs and axle carrier, I also painted my stock steering stem red. Looks Nice! Edited June 21, 2004 by Banshee169 Quote
