Bottom Of Case - Scratches

OK got the case split so we can put in the new crank...found wood chips in there!!! Wiped it out and lo and hold there are scratches visible...is this normal or does this mean more $$$

There doesn't appear to be any cracks or damage to the sealing surfaces. You should be OK.

The wood chips are probably from mice. They will go thru the exhaust and nest in the engine

All gears looked good, checked everything out while cleaning. Just waiting for the clutch boss and the intake stuff...everything is back together as far as we can go. Taking the frame down and cleaning it up tomorrow while we sit and wait. Have bought extra plugs for the start up. Thanks for everyones help...I am sure I will be back when we start the break in period. nutty...
