mrman99 Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 Need some advice on spliting the case. I took off both side covers off, and unbolted the screws on top and bottom. took off the flywheel, stator plate, kickstart gear and spring. the case doesn't want to split. is there anything else i need to remove. I banged on it a little bit, thinking it might be the seals sticking. but no go. Any suggestions... Quote
Oilsmoke Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 also use a rubber mallet and tap it hard all over to break loose the case sealant they use. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 make sure everything connecting the two cases is off, did u take the topend off first? use a arubber mallet like he said, to tape ite cases apart, and a screwdriver carefully! Quote
