BansheeBrian Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 In all throttle positions the right side crackles or pops but never backfires. The left is running good.Is this a sign of being lean?I don't want to push the shee too hard due to it's fresh top end. Quote
@@banshee_rider@@ Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 i think that you have to change the plugs. Quote
Bigairee Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 I would be looking at the plugs for a lean condition Quote
KRMit Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Sounds like carb sync. I tinkered with synchronizing the slides on the stock carbs endlessly and never could get both cylinders to fire the same. One would always crackle more than the other. Maybe aftermarket carbs are better due to the choke system. I've now switched to the CV system and it feels great to hear both cylinders firing in unison. Quote
BansheeBrian Posted May 16, 2004 Author Report Posted May 16, 2004 You're right carb synch is a pain with the stockers.Theres a rule with them to adjust the left never the right. With fresh gapped plugs it still does the same crackle.Brand new stator from ricky in her. Quote

I have heard this rule but I could find now way aorund it? Care to clarify? On the left side the slide operated fine, but the right slide would not pull up untill later on because it needed to be tightened. So I tightened it..This is wrong? Now they both pull up at the same time but I think I may be having problems with the TORS. Quote
