Meat Posted April 30, 2004 Report Share Posted April 30, 2004 iv heard its more like 1.7 quarts... but iv always put in 2 full quarts. Someone once said that 2 quarts will help lube up that clutch pushrod\ball assembly. Iv been puttin in 2 quarts forever now and no ill effects. BTW, the proper way to read the dipstick is..... unscrew the bastard all the way out and then rest it back in the hole, dont thread it in, just rest it on the side case. Take your reading this way, with it sitting in the hole, but not threaded in. That info is straight from the Yamaha service manual. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
