Hey guys I was wondering if I can get some advice. Right now my Banshee currently has DMC Pipes, single large K&N filter in a stock airbox and the T.O.R.S. has been removed and the bike was rejetted. Im not trying to turn this bike into a drag machine as I love duning and trail riding but I do want some more power. A local builder suggested he could lighten the flywheel, advance the timing and raise the compression for $265. Is that a good price? Will performing those mods make the bike wheelie up and down everywhere to point where I cannot dune or trail the bike? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on how much money you are willing to spend. If you are planing on raising compression I would suggest buying a cool head. They lower compression and cool better plus they allow you to change domes whenever you want for more compression. Although, dollar for dollar porting is probably the best bang for the buck.

Those are all good mods, but that is quite a bit more than I charge. Those mods will make quite a bit more power, and make it more rideable as well.

damn man u can prolly get all that on here for 150, check out www.vitosperformance.com i think for the timing, and pm boonman for the lighening of the flywheel and the head milling

Sounds kinda spendy to me too. Lightening the flywheel usually runs $40-$65 (don't do this mod if you trail ride a lot), advancing the timing up to 4 degrees is free, and milling the head varies from shop to shop but is usually pretty cheap.

Bang for the buck you can't beat porting.

Where you gettin it done for $40? And $65 for the top cost? I have seen the lightening costing well in excess of $100..... Anyways, I don't know where your goin on the lightening not bein good for trails??? 90% of the riding I do is trails. And my bike is wicked in the trails. COme to think of it, there isn't anywhere that lightening the flywheel doesn't help. Have you actually ridden a bike in the trails with a lightened flywheel, and then rode it with a stock? I have. The difference is AWESOME. Hands down. The throttle response is awesome. Remember, we're not talking about a 4 stroke here. :headbang:
