bigboybanshee Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Sounds like someone didn't put it back together right! So you did or did NOT break it in properly? How can a banshee act dumb? Whoever did the work should tear it back down again and make sure it was built properly, sounds like you have some serious issues there Quote
boonman Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Do you have compression on that side? Spark? Fuel? I am guessing there is fuel, because of the mess on the ass end... You need to narrow it down to spark or compression and/or fuel..... The three things needed for a motor to run.... Quote
ScreaminShee01 Posted April 27, 2004 Author Report Posted April 27, 2004 alright i pulled the plugs the right one is fine.. the left one is leaning on the tan/whiter side. i have spark on both sides as well. Quote
boonman Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Lighter side huh, and you had oily nonsense out of that pipe? Do you have compression on both cylinders? Any scraping noises? Quote
ScreaminShee01 Posted April 27, 2004 Author Report Posted April 27, 2004 and big boy when i said act dumb.. not running right.. not running as it usually does. i belive its just the piston that went. i sure hope so after that is fixed... anone want to buy it? im sick of these things and fourwheelers hate me it sounds dumb.. flame me call me immature but all the quads i have had gave me a lot of trouble and im finished with them. thanks for an replies, and i apologize for the way i am acting im just very frustrated. boonman Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 I'll buy it the way it sits. What you want for it? I don't live far from PA. Where you at? Quote

That just plain sucks....sorry to hear that your frustration has driven you to this point. I know that these beasts can drive you to Quote
ScreaminShee01 Posted April 27, 2004 Author Report Posted April 27, 2004 well from the way things are going i may just need a piston and or rings... so thatd be great cheap fix and faster for me to sell it... id rather get it running before i sell it. when its running id like 4 grand.... but im flexible. i put more than 2 g's into it and i know parts wont make it worth more but id like to get something out of it. its in perfect condition once i get it running again... im in reading PA thats in berks county about an hour from philly. sweetshee4312 Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 hey, just fix it, u will be happy, i was thissss close_ _ to trading mine fora 4 joke....but i didnt now i got my ported cyanders coming back, new top end, pistons, head, ahhhhhhhhh cant wait to get it together Quote
Banchetta Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 You have more than a piston problem..A stuck ring won't cause a lean plug....You have an air leak... Quote
H300F Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 first i would go over every possible way air can leak in. The head, base of cyl's, intake boots to cyl's, boots to cross over, boots to carbs, carb tops. Are you running base gaskets or silicon instead? Spacer plate? If you cant find a leak, you may want to check the float heights in the carb, and clean them out and adjust them properly. Make sure they are in sync with each other. take your time with it and spend alittle time every day for a week and im sure you will fig it out. Quote
