I ran 18cc domes on pump gas at about 400 feet above sea level but iwas pushing my luck you shold be able to get away with 19's or 20's no problem. as far as what it will do the high compression will give you more lowend and take away some of your topend it won't let the motor rev as free and as high with the higher compression. You need to find that balance where it gives you the power you want down low and still have good top end. The compression you will be running on pump gas should be just fine for what you are trying to do I ran right around 160-170 psi drag racing. if you have anymore questions just ask.

right now i am running 120 psi with about .010 milled on a ported and polished motor i was thinking about going up to 150 -160. i believe michigan is at like 600 ft above sea level.

depends on what you are tryning to accomplish going up on compression will give you low end but will take away top end. i would start with 20cc domes that should bring you to aroujnd 150 or so right around where you are saying you watn to be and you are still safe to run poump gas at that compression just make sure it is premium.

Yup, you're about right there with the elevation. At least in many places here in MI it is.

I've got 22cc domes (uck! they came on it..) and a ported engine and pushing about 138lbs of compression. Gonna bump it to 21s -- 20s would probably be pushing it for pump gas, at least at our elevation. You should be fine with 21s.
