Im trying to think of ways to keep the mud and junk from sticking all up in my frame so it is easier to wash at the end of the day. I tried wd 40 it seems to wash off good but the dirt sticks to wd40 so it gets dustier faster. I am thinking of trying Pam cooking spray on the frame and motor. That should wash right off I would think????? if nothing else it will give my banshee a nice buttery flavor. lmfao!!

I would imagine that the dirt would stick better to it since it is thicker. But i hear that if you put it under your fenders mud comes right off with a hose.

Where from upstate are you from?? I like your list of sleds, im hoping to get an XCSP 600 this fall.

no shit your from tug hill... What part. I trailor my sleds to flat rock inn and ride from there a couple times a year but Im from Cranberry Lake and we have about the same amount of riding on great groomed trails and less than 1/5 of the amount of sleds as tug hill so I usually ride right out of my front yard. Ive had a lot of xc's and they are great sledsI had a 98 xc 600, then a 2000 xc 700 that I totalled with no insurance so I bought my dads 99 xc 700 off him, then got an 01 xc 700 the next year, this year I bought an 02 xc 700 and rode that and now I bought my dads 04 xc 700 that he put 300 miles on last winter. I want to ride my shee up on tug hill I rode there one time a couple summers ago and it was awsome. all long straight dirt rodes. I loved it.

Spray silicone for about $2 a can at walmart. I spray it on everything especially the shocks. It's not gonna be sparkling clean but keeps the stuff from sticking especially in the hard to reach areas. BTW there is silicone in PAM. One of the things I learned from a Pampered Chef party my wife went to -_-

I was thinking of that too Its a little more expensive but it will prolly work a lot better. What if I bought just a cheaper spray on wax and sprayed my frame and under my fenders. I was also thinking of spraying my swingarm and frame area with wd 40 right after washing it before it dries and maybe that will help fight the rust that appears on the frame after a few times getting wet.

What ya think??

I used to use a cheap tire dressing, on EVERYTHING. It would not only get the dirt off, but it would keep it off. Don't use it on the seat if you plan on keeping what ever it is you wear to ride clean, or your hand grips. But use it on everything else.

That's what I use too ;)
