about the floater bowls being on backwards. ther left one could be on the right carb abd vice verce. on the side with the carb, look at the floater bowl there should be a little broze or copper brass looking ball on it facing towards the engine side.

i got fatties and i run 260 mains with a stock bore so i think something is off but i dont know, if it ran GOOD last season then it should at least run, right?

check the floater bowl i assume you know how to tune the carbs, and check the stator.

but check them bowls first.

i did the spark test. grounded out the plug on the engine nut

i only got one spark out of 7 kicks.

i tested the coil with an ohms meter, useing the same steps in my clymers book.

the problem was one of the previous owners had removed the main key switch and hadnt fixed the wires together well. so i cut the wires new and bell caped them. and way to go me!! it sparked very well on a weak kick.

i put my clean carbs back on and everything and kicked it over and it started up on the first kick!!

however it still dosent idel very well once warm. should i change one of my jet settings?

thank you for all your help.
