evil Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 IVE BENT TONS OF STOCK A ARMS AND A FEW HIGH DOLLAR AFTERMARKET ONES. ITS COMMON TO BEND A FEW WHEN YOU LAND WRONG OR HIT SOMETHING Quote
KRMit Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I think the most common way of bending upper arms is wheelying. I bent one doing it... then after bending it back did it again, it was trashed. Those arms are very weak. They don't actually support any weight so unless you crash they don't need to be real strong. fixitrod Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I've folded a couple stockers. I now have ricky stators and have not had a problem. Quote
LegendSS28 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 There are a few aftermarket brands that offer a lifetime guarentee even if you crash, and hit a tree or watever Quote
Wassup350 Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I had two bad experiences wheelying and flippin my 87. Bent the J-arm a little the first time then really bent it the second time after completely flipping upside down then landing on the tire. Quote
