Demon350 Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 how do i clean it ? its messed up with sand and my kickstarter is loose too, messes up ur legg bad when u jump, any ideas ? Quote
bigwill Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 It is illegal to use the stock air filter after you have posted on this site more than 50 times Replace-replace-replace-lose that whole set-up-any after market set-up is better than the stock garbage Quote
itsaripper Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 I would clean it with fire. Put it in the fire and watch all the dirt go away. Then go get a K&N. If you just have to use that stock POS wash it with dawn and warm water, shake out and let dry. Install and you are ready to go. Why do I feel like I just told someone how to destroy his motor. Quote
. Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 dont lie to him itsaripper, you cant clean the stock filter.....they are disposable filters. You just throw them away and buy an aftermarket setup. Quote
banshee76179 Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 get a uni filter cheaper than cleaning the old 1! Quote
Demon350 Posted April 12, 2004 Author Report Posted April 12, 2004 the plan was to not spend a thing and get the duncan racing kit, which has everything in it... so......ill leave the filthy fecker on Quote

. Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 isnt the stock filter and no filter at all basically the same thing? Quote
bigwill Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 If you keep running with that filter-you will need that Duncan racing kit and PARTS!!!!!!!! Quote
BansheeBrian Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 Allright man, Soak the filter in kerosene as it sits in the kero push it around to help get the dirt out. Take it out, squeeze out kero then shake out any extra.Using a rag squeeze the foam filter with the rag til no kero shows on the rag. Then using your favorite 2-stroke oil lightly coat it and you're good.
