Hockey390 Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 Quick question all, I just had my head off and there is a 25 imprinted in the top of my piston.. Only the right one though. Does that mean anything? It doesnt say it on the other one. Quote
streetshee Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 could possibly be someone only rebuilt one side! bit dodgy if ya ask me Quote
bigboybanshee Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 could possibly be someone only rebuilt one side! bit dodgy if ya ask me LMAO!! That would something wouldn't it!! The numbers on the top of the piston signify what size bore they are; or at least, I know wiseco piston's are that way. My pistons have a 65.00 on the top. Not too sure what to tell you about the 25 though... Quote
Hockey390 Posted March 29, 2004 Author Report Posted March 29, 2004 is 25 standard? funny thing is, the pistons look pretty damn close, but the left side has a bunch of little holes in the dome (not bad enough to hurt it) that is the side without the writing on the piston..maybe it just is corroded on that side. who knows.. streetshee Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 .25 is not standard,.25 means its been rebored one size more.as for the little holes, sounds like it was pre-detonating? but im not an expert, someone correct me? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 thats quite a difference from 25 to 65... what bore are you on? 65mm bore... .040 thousandths... Quote
