IRONDOG442 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Hey guys just bought some Golden Spectro synthetic oil its green in color and his a very high viscosity. Question is should I adjust the ratio I run in my bike now because of the new consistency of the oil. I am currently running it at 32:1. Anyones input on this would be geatly appreciated. Quote
ledofthezep Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 I imagine you should be ok. How does shee run? CASTOR 927  Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 i ahve this stuff that smells like cherys Quote
Felonious_Monk Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 I run Klotz Super Techniplate at about 38:1-40:1. I opened up my top end at the beginning of the year, and it was totally clean inside. Shiny metal with a thin coat of "greasy" oil on the cylinder walls, piston, and head. Plus it smells nice. I dont think that I will ever use anything else. Quote
MDH Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 I`m with Monk, all me and my buds run is Klotz Supertechniplate. been running it for several years, no bodys ever lost a rod, crank, or wrist pin bearing. and ya gotta love that smell! Quote
Minkia38 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 I do love the smell of Klotz, but I switched over to Amsoil (50:1) and I really like it! No complaints Quote
Phast Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 yamalube here got a case free! but will switch to klots when its gone! Quote
WickedBanshee Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 went from yamalube 2r to castor 927 and love it. Quote
Screamin_Banshee Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Castor 927 here, one bike at 32:1 one at 38:1. Quote
thecabinboy Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Jethro you run Power Plus is it the full synthetic or the blend? Quote
boonman Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 I also run Klotz. Has been working sweet. ALthough, I have burned up 3 top ends this year. I have learned a ton though from it. It was never due to the oil though. I used to mix 32:1, now @ 40:1, and i will switch to 50:1 most likely. Quote
itsaripper Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Amsoil (50to1) runs clean and had no problems. Quote
IRONDOG442 Posted November 15, 2002 Author Report Posted November 15, 2002 The Golden Spectro runs a shitload better than the Yamalube does there is a substancial performance difference. However it is very very pricey the cheapest I was able to find it was $23.95 for 64 ounces. I notice alot of you folks runs castor oil what is the price for a quart of that? Quote
bansheerabbit Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 I am running Repsol at 32:1. Does anyone know anything about Justin Brothers 2Cycle oil???? (Had some given to me not sure if any good for Banshee!) rabbit Quote
