Indubitably Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I'd keep the stockos until you get it ported or something Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 well, porting matches good with bigger carbs, but if you want more power for cheap , try boring out ur stock carbs, some engine shops do it Quote
fixitrod Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 If you hit any water you will appreciate new carbs. Don't go any bigger than the 28mm for a fairly stock motor. Quote
ozstriker Posted March 25, 2004 Author Report Posted March 25, 2004 thanks guys what brand of 28's mm do you suggest and is that 4deg key from vito any good or what? Quote
itsaripper Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 KEIHIN PWK 28 is a great carb for what you are doing. Call the nearest Kawasaki dealer and ask for a price on a carb for a 2001 kx100. My local dealer is around $100 each. When they ask why you need two say because I want to change the carb instead of the jets. Also look at www.motocarrera.com they sell mikuni 28s for $105. Good luck!! Quote
Big Blue Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 i bought some of these, ive dealt with them in the past also. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=43979 Quote

Good luck!! Those flat slide 28mm mikunis look like a pretty good deal. What about the choke though. Would you be getting 2 completely separate carbs with 2 separate chokes to turn on and can you reach the choke on the right side carb when its on the bike and behind the left side carb? Or can you get them as a pair with the chokes linked like the ones on the stock banshee carbs? Quote
Big Blue Posted March 27, 2004 Report Posted March 27, 2004 I just choke the left side on my keihins and it works just fine. Quote
