banshee tuner Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Is there a way to lower the shee without spending a grand. I want to do this for drag racing but still be able to trail ride. I don't really do any jumps other than what I encounter on a trail ride. One of the guys I ride with slammed his raptor to the ground and I can beat him on dirt but when we line up on pavement he leaves me out the hole cause his front end stays down. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
doltz Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 They make lowering links for the rear & shock relocator brackets for the front I run them for ice drags & they only cost about a hondo or so.The link is below. http://crjperformance.com/loweringkits.html Quote
banshee tuner Posted March 20, 2004 Author Report Posted March 20, 2004 How well do these work for trail riding and small jumps. They look a lot stronger than the front kits I've seen before. Quote
geaux 4 it Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Take the lowering kit off when you ride the trails. Quote
banshee tuner Posted March 20, 2004 Author Report Posted March 20, 2004 That is what I was trying to avoid. I don't guess there is a way to keep it lowered all of the time without buying expensive shocks. Quote
geaux 4 it Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Not really. It's kinda hard to ride it on trails lower. Quote
doltz Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 I agree with these guys there is no happy medium but the rear lowering link can stay just put the pivot bolt in the higher setting. As far as the fronts it is a 15 min. swap out. I run rigid lowering bars on the ice but the shock relocators help on a bumpy return lane. As far as trails I would not run lowered @ all. Even in the dunes I bring it up even when I sand drag. Quote
