LIsurfer_ Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 I am looking to replace the tires that were on my shee when I bought it. They wre 22x12.5x9 ITP blackwaters on the rear and 22x7.00x9 puresports on the front. I think they are on stock rims. If I change just the rears (the fronts are near new and I want to spend my cahsh on other upgrades). Can I run 20x11x9 Kenda Klaws on the rear? Does this set-up sound ok to start MX'ing on? Also what chain/sproket config should I run on these tires? The shee is stock. Thx 4 ne help. Quote
trigg Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 i think you can get 18/11/9 in kenda klaws which is abit better for mx Quote
LIsurfer_ Posted March 9, 2004 Author Report Posted March 9, 2004 Will the difference between 18 rears and 22 fronts be ok? Quote
screamingtwin Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 Go with 18's on the back and 20's on the front. Are you from long island? If so I will be racing at yaphank march 27. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 yea for mx the ideal rear tire is 18 and front is 19 or 20, but if ur just starting goand u still go trail riding i'd say stick with the 20's on te back Quote
