I Need A Direct Replacement Easy Install Airfilter

I am not very machanical and need a replacement filter. I am considering K&N, UNI, or a stock one. Price is not a consideration, so i am leaning towards the K&N. How do I install this, is it easy, DO I need to spray it? Below is the link. Thanks

K$N sells a cleaning kit for thier filters, you'll need to spray on the cleaner, rinse it off and then oil it with the K$N filter oil. Its all included in thier cleaning kit. Some guys use Simple Green to clean thier K$N. Guess you'd still have to buy K$Ns' oil tho.

 

Alot of guys think K$N makes the best filters because they cost the most. IMO, gimme a UNI foam filter to protect my engine instead of an overpriced gauze K$N. Do the research before you buy. Theres lots of opinions on "best filters".

here lately i have been hearing that more and more people are using foam filters. i have a k and n in mine now, and i prolly wouldnt change it, but my yfz450 came with a foam one. it seems like it works pretty well and its simple to clean. i think its really all personal preference.

So maybe I should go with the UNI filter? How long does the uni filter last? What brand of oil do i treat it with and how often? Thanks

K&N's work good for sand as the sand won't stick to the filter. Foam is better for everything else. real fine dust will pass through a K&N and enter the motor. Over time it will wear everything out. Don't get a stock filter if price isn't a concern. Pro flow makes a damn good kit that mounts inside your airbox and it won't come apart and seals great. I've never had a problem with my pro flow filter kit. I've had the SAME filter for 3 years now...stock ones lasted me about 6 months. Everything else is 2nd rate compared to the filter in the pro flow kit. I've never seen a more durable filter...it's big too and fills up the whole airbox.

I also mostly ride the woods and in dusty conditions.

i ride woods and dusty conditions too, with the pro design with foam, and without the lid. haven't had any problems yet. just check it after every ride and clean as needed.

I dis-agree about sand not sticking to a k&n. Just as Banchetta. His filter was caked with sand. I believe he was running an outerwear too. I had a foam with outerwear and it looked great. I switched from a k&n recently and will stick with the foam now.
