promod80 Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I just did a top end re build on my 02 banshee with a .20 over bore and when i start it up the idle is fine and then it starts to scream rpm's and i have to shut it off. Anyone here got any idea's??also what r the air screws on the back of the carbs suppose to be set at? it is all stock Quote
Lepew Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Sounds like its running out of fuel and getting lean. The pilot air screw is 2 turns out stock. Quote
promod80 Posted February 28, 2004 Author Report Posted February 28, 2004 i have mine screwed in all the way in clockwise and then i backed them off about 1.5 to 2 turns...is that right.............also i know this is dumb but i didn't put any thing other than the gasket on the shee....no sealer or nothing. i was told i wouldn't have to?? brugal Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Check above your heads, chances are one of your connectors got loose.Connect them back together and you should be good... Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 you may have a air leak if ur idle screws are adjusted, test for that Quote
