I just ordered a new stator and timing plate from RS and I need to know how much I can advance my timing, here are my mods,

33mm trinity 2into1 carb

motofast 2into1 pipe

ported stock reed cages with boyesen reeds

cut airbox with UNI air filter

and I run nothing but 93 octane gas with WP2 oil mixed at 40:1, I just don't wanna advance it too much and blow my new engine into pieces, Thanks, Jonathan

I just ordered mine today(same one), I'm going to advance it probably +4. You could do the same & be just fine. Mine's ported & polished, milled head .030, toomey 2:1, 280's, 'almight boost bottle' :P & more bs...

I hear you can go as much a +7 degrees. Mine's at like 2 I belive. But then again if you have an aftermarket cdi they say to keep the timing stock for the cdi will advance it for you depending on what preset ignition curve you use

I believe +7 works for a drag setup but ups the octane requirements a good amount and can cause overheating pretty easy for all around riding. Don't know from experience through. I think + 3 is a safe amount.
