Banshee - Insert 4-stroke Engine ?

It can be done, that's for sure. Many people insert high hp motorcycle engines in them, but primarily just to drag race. There's some company that does this and makes them all-around bikes, but I've lost their website address. There's a lot of work to be done if you put in a 4stroke motor also, mounting, finding a place for a batter, probably a special fabricated exhaust...more than I'd ever dare to mess with myself. With the right tools and time, anything's possible. I'd suggest you just rebuild your top-end, you'd save yourself a lot of time and money, + what's better than the thrill of a banshee on the gas!?

it would be much easier to just do a topend rebuild. i put a cr500 dirtbike engine in my banshee frame which wasnt really too hard, but it does take skills to do. if you have never done any fabricating before i wouldnt recommend trying to put any kind of engine in there. i would just stick with a good ol banshee engine. with a few mods you can have it really screamin

Here's my advice. The only good thing about the Banshee is A: The motor hands down one of the best powerplants there is. B: the Aftermarket support...you can find anything you can dream of out there...somebody makes it and is trying to sell it.

The Banhee's chassis is horrible. It's weak and has poor suspension geometry. It turns like crap unless your on the juice and handles just as bad. I wouldn't spend any money trying to stuff a diffrent motor in the chassis. Find an old suzuki or honda 250r and use that. Or contact Lonestar, LRD or Walsh racecraft and buy an aftermarket chasis with much better handling manners. Hell you can even call up Yamaha, honda..ect.. and buy a bare chasis of the make you want for cheap. I picked up a 98 frame to replace my tired old bent 87 for like 600 bucks.

There is only one engine I would replace the banshee engine with... The Kawasaki 750 2 stroke triple. Other than that, fix the banshee. It's cheaper, easier and available. You guys over there can also get RD/RZ engines which may be a good choice if you want to go crazy. Otherwise, do a top end and go RIDING
