screamingtwin Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 I want to go buy some mx tires for my banshee and don't know which ones to get? Any suggestions? Quote
txblueshee Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 My 20'' razrs gave me O.K. traction with the stock swingarm. Now w/ my -2 swingarm and razrs is almost too much traction on tacky soil. Mike Quote
fixitrod Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 If you're serious about mx, 18" rears and 19" fronts. Turf Tamers, holeshots, razormx are good rear choices. Holeshots are the most common front or razor mx. Quote
tats4life Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 KENDA KLAWS MXR, insane traction any track conditions, and wear really go Quote
fixitrod Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 KENDA KLAWS MXR, insane traction any track conditions, and wear really go I forgot about them. I think the klaws will be my next tire. Quote
discharge Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 i got the klaw MXRs on my stock shee, world of difference over the stock tires....i haven't gotten to test them at the track though....they seem to hook up well just screwing around Quote
DIABLO BANSHEE Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 I HAVE THE 18" KLAWS AND RIDE MOTOCROSS,THEY ARE THE BADDEST TIRE YET,ALL THE TRACTION YOU'LL NEED,AND THERE CHEAP $39.00 EACH,I'VE GOT 10 MOTOS OM MINE PLUS PRACTICE(75MILES) AND ALMOST NO SIGN OF WEAR. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 I just picked up a set of holeshot mx. Haven't run them yet. But you want to run 18in rears simply because the smaller tire will accelerate quicker and weighs less puts less stress on the axle and lowers the rear end to help give the bike's stance a better attack angle...hence why you run 19 or 20's on the front. an 8x8 in rear is standard mx issue, bu the 9 in wheels are gaining popularity as they make the wheel just a little lighter and stiffer sidwalls bite better. But they offer reduced cusioning and you risk a greater chance of bending or breaking your rims or axle...plus chopy track will bounce and feel rougher on a 9in rim. Quote
