Banshee0028 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Ok, looking for next mod on the shee and was thinking about some chain sliders and/or rollers? I guess there is a lower and upper in the front and a chain guide in the rear? Should I replace all of the factory ones or would the fronts be more beneficial? Do these things make much of a diff? I know its proably not much but they seem to keep tension on chain better and running smoothly Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 If your original pieces are worn (especially the swing arm roller) new parts will make an improvement. I have the complete kit from http://www.upprcaing.com they work well and wear good, plus they are split (swingarm and rear guide) so installation is a snap. I also ran TM Designworks stuff in the past with decent results, with the exception of their rear chain guide / roller - bearings did not last. Quote
Banshee0028 Posted February 18, 2004 Author Report Posted February 18, 2004 Great .... any other opinions on these? Anyone else use upp? They seem to be a bit cheaper than TM too Quote
dnhyoung Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I also use Upp Chain rollers and slider. They are really tough and simple to put on, Plus the fact that there shop is only 20 minutes away. Quote
odaen Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 just posted this in another topic, but i bought one of the upp slider sets, came with the rollers and the rear slider a well. the swingarm roller i couldn't use, because the nut that's inside the molded plastic is spinning and won't allow me to tighten the screw. looks like i'm the only one that's had the problem thus far on this forum though...so, dunno what to say. i went with a cascade one, was a bit more work to install, but it was worth it. MILO Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 i bought my upp kit over a year ago, and it is holding up very well. the removal of the old system is the worst part. i did end up unhooking the swing arm rather than just chisel things apart, which really isn't as hard as you might think. next time around should be much easier, but my upp's are holding up great and i don't foresee changing again anytime soon. SICK BOY Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 The swingarm chain sliders are the way to go,a HUGE differance in longativity over stock. Quote
