Banshee Ripper Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I saw some pictures and saw some bikes that had a wide stance. I was just wondering if i could get some a arms that are longer so i have a wider stance. If so would i need new shocks or anything. This may be a dumb question but i don't know much about this kind of stuff. Thanks. Quote
evil Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 you can go 2 wider per side or 3 wider per side, with 1 forward. and yes you will need new shocks to compinsate for the added leverage. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 the wider you go the more expensive it gets, but its well worth the money Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 what kind of risding do you do? do you ride mx all the time? if you ride mostly mx then i would say go for some new a arms and shocks. if not then id rethink +2 a arms. if you ride trails and such adding 4 inches to the front end might keep you from goin alot of places. just buying new shocks with my stock a arms gave me a better stance, and i didnt end up having a really wide front end. i ended up buying new a arms but im still about stock width. i ride all trails and dont need a really wide front end.
