I am looking at a pair of CPI inframe drag pipes. I currently have old school fmf pipes and I was wondering which one is better in the dunes. I also heard that in order to get the full performance of the cpi pipes they say you need dual airfilters is that true??

I love my FMF pipes, but now that im ported I want CPI's...the Fattys will work fine untill you get porting, probably even better.

If your talkign about different riding than dune riding CPI's may be good with a stock engine too, but since you have them now jsut keep them and save for when you get porting, never know something new might come out!

CPI pipes are the best all around pipe PERIOD! If I had the money I would put them on my bike. My friend and I have always done the same modifications to our banshees at the same time and his has always been WAY FASTER even when we were both stock.

Lately at the dunes I've been seeing a shitload of banshee's with the CPI inframes. I'd say they're a duner's choice like the T5's....but for my weird ass, I prefer PC's. Haven't tried CPI to compare the 3 though. ;)

I've never even ridden a bike with anything else than T5, CPI, or my PSI pipes. Many people only ride sand...so I guess a mid-top end pipe would best suit a rider since the sand needs a lot of rev to get going. CPI and T5 are good screamers!

If I ever build my motor I would lean towards a motor which is suited for sand drags, but still acceptable for duning. I just got my T5's I won from ebay and they are a nice set. CPI inframes provide more power in the top, comparably. Lot's of people say that CPI is the ultimate sand pipe out there right now. I'll let you in on a little secret, SHEARER! If I ever build my motor................

Hey SHEEWEET, I see you live in Cali. Are you going to Glamis for Presidents weekend?

I'll have to ask around about those pipes. I want the best of both worlds too...drag and duning.

Hey jasonsb, dude I live too far from glamis to go for just a short holiday and i must work anyway. I live in the S.F. Bay Area. Pismo would be more like it for me though. Hey jason if you are ever planning a trip for Pismo and you want more shee riders to hang with there then drop me a PM. It's just that Glamis is too hard for me to get to unless i take a long vacation to make the drive worth it, you know! And i have a confession, I've never even been there.

I wish i could go though. And i like your sig!! Reads like you've got a sweet shee :)
